Privacy Policy

adityasahoo.in is the personal portfolio of Aditya Sahoo, a product designer. Aditya is responsible for this site and for how visitor data is handled here.

The site is hosted by Vercel. To deliver any web page, a host's servers necessarily receive technical details of each request, such as your IP address and browser type. Vercel processes this information under its own privacy notice. This site does not keep or read those server logs itself.

Fonts, images and videos are all served from this domain. Your browser does not contact Google Fonts or any other outside service to load the site.

Two privacy-focused services from Vercel measure how the site is used and how quickly it loads. Neither uses cookies, and neither ties what it records to you or to your IP address.

Vercel Web Analytics

Counts visits and pages viewed. To tell visits apart without a cookie, it uses a hash generated from the incoming request, and that visit record is discarded after 24 hours. According to Vercel's documentation, it can record the following for each page view:

Measures loading performance, so slow pages can be found and fixed. It does not identify visitors or reconstruct a visit across pages. According to Vercel's documentation, it records:

These figures are only ever looked at in aggregate — total visits, popular pages, typical load times.

This site does not set cookies.

It stores a single value in your browser's session storage: a note that you have already seen the opening animation, so it is not replayed every time you move between pages. It holds no personal information, is never sent anywhere, and is deleted when you close the tab.

The local time shown in the menu is worked out entirely inside your browser, from the time zone your device is set to. Your location is not requested, and the time zone is not sent anywhere.

The About page plays music through a YouTube player that is kept out of sight. It loads from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com) when you scroll close to the music section, which shares your IP address and browser details with YouTube, as loading any page from them would. Once you press play, YouTube may store cookies or similar data under Google's privacy policy. If you never scroll to that section, nothing from YouTube loads.

• No accounts, logins or passwords.
• No advertising, retargeting pixels or social media trackers.
• No precise location — only the approximate location described above, in aggregate.
• No contact details. The email field in the footer does not currently send or store what is typed into it.
• No data is sold, rented or shared for marketing.

The site links to profiles on Behance, Instagram, Dribbble, LinkedIn and Medium. They open in a new tab, and once you are there, that platform's own privacy policy applies. Apart from the music player described above, nothing from other sites is embedded here.

Because the site holds nothing that identifies you, there is nothing to request, correct or delete. You can still block the analytics with a content blocker or your browser's tracking protection — the site works exactly the same without it.

If you have turned on reduced motion in your device settings, the site respects it and skips its animations.

If the site starts handling data differently — for example by adding a working contact form — this page will be updated first, and the date at the top will change.
